Here is a collection of some of my favorite pictures from Christian Oth’s team. I find their style so impressive, each picture tells a story and has a photojournalism quality to it, which is a nice breath of fresh air considering that so many wedding photos have a “look this way and smile” vibe. Wedding photography has taken on a whole new style and quality in the last few years. And I am LOVING it! Note to brides, invest your money in a good photographer… it is SO important. And there are too many out there that are amateur and have lackluster style. Find someone amazing and fresh, these are photos you will keep forever so do your research! If you ever need help, I have several of names of professionals that I trust and would trust to do my own wedding. Enjoy these little pieces of art.

Today’s dramatic and perfectly designed photo shoot puts a big smile on my face. Unity Weddings, the genius behind the shoot, had a very specific concept in mind and I think it played out beautifully. Her idea behind the shoot was to mix pretty but severe graphics with romantic vintage softness. In the end, she wanted to create an event with a hard-to-describe mood. Dressy but not stuffy, modern yet slightly vintage, colorful but soothing to the eye. Something that would leave the viewer with a light shiver. I say, task accomplished. Photography for the event was done by Davina+Daniel. They did an outstanding job capturing the unique concept. Cheers to everyone involved!

This wedding is absolutely stunning. Beautiful job to Sonia Hopkins of XOXO Bride! Thank you to SMP and Braedon Photography for showing us all this little slice of heaven!

Congrats to the lovely couple Rachel and Ray! And note to Rachel, your Valentino’s are ahhhmazing!

At first glance, you might think that you’re viewing another photo shoot. Probably because, this sweetly designed and perfectly executed wedding was so breathtaking, that it belongs in a magazine. I mean, actual white doves!? It’s a publishers dream.

Photographer Elizabeth Messina is a genius. I adore her romantic approach to photography… viewing her work is like seeing the world through a lens that captures all of the facets that make life so truly magical. After looking through tons of photos from this wedding, (thank you SMP) I was able to narrow it down to my absolute favorites… enjoy!

Did I mention the peep toe Christian Louboutin heels…Je t’aime

This old Hollywood inspired photo shoot, photographed by Joielala, is one of my favorite shoots to date. The details are etherial… full of feathers, flowers, red lipstick and a deliciously feminine and romantic faceted Swarovski crystal necklace (which was custom-made for the shoot.) The flowers were a mixture of white hydrangea, peonies, spray roses, lilies, blush roses, mini calla lilies, and large gardenias to inspire that old Hollywood glam look. They were accented with white ostrich feather plumes and tied with vintage sequin trims. All and all… a little piece of Heaven on Earth.

It’s no secret that I have a serious love affair with Jose Villa’s work. He WILL be shooting my engagement and wedding photos (though he might not know it yet…) And whoever you are…I’m speaking to the lucky guy who gets to spend forever with me, this decision has already been made 😉 Here is yet another beautiful wedding by Jose…
