“I will proclaim your greatness, my God and king; I will thank you forever and ever. Every day I will thank you; I will praise you forever and ever. The Lord is great and is to be highly praised; his greatness is beyond understanding. The Lord is loving and merciful, slow to become angry and full of constant love. He is good to everyone and has compassion on all he made. The Lord is faithful to his promises; he is merciful in all his acts. He helps those who are in trouble; he lifts those who have fallen. The Lord is righteous in all he does, merciful in all his acts. He is near to those who call to him, who call to him with sincerity. He supplies the needs of those who honor him; he hears their cries and saves them. He protects everyone who loves him, but he will destroy the wicked. I will always praise the Lord; let all his creatures praise his holy name forever.”

– Pslam 145

“Look at that sea . . . all silver and shadow and vision of things not seen. We couldn’t enjoy its loveliness any more if we had millions of dollars and ropes of diamonds.”

—Lucy Maud Montgomery

When I think of winter whites, I think chic — style and elegance — and with winter right around the corner, there is something about its purity that I love, continually drawing me to its snow colored palette, season after season.

The nights are getting colder and candles are being lit, a warm fire rages as the temperature continues to drop — everything seems to sparkle. People I love, gather together, true friends, the kind that make this complicated life, a little more simple and oh so beautiful . . .

“Winter, a lingering season, is a time to gather golden moments, embark upon a sentimental journey, and enjoy every idle hour. “
– John Boswell

“There is nothing in the world more beautiful than the forest clothed to its very
hollows in snow. It is the still ecstasy of nature, wherein every spray, every
blade of grass, every spire of reed, every intricacy of twig, is clad with radiance.”

– William Sharp

Festive thoughts and a certain excitement for nights in sequins and fur; everything has more sparkle and shine, crystal, champagne, and laughter among candlelight. The holidays… It’s a season of romance, and here is to romance

For those in the planning stages of your wedding, I always try and post my weddings so that you might glean some inspiration for your own nuptials. I am thrilled to show you one of my favorite wedding’s of year thus far, it was beautiful, unique and creative. I loved the whimsical hanging cutouts and ornate flower arrangements juxtaposed with the beautiful simplicity of a garden setting, small crowd and simple, yet stunning, bridal dress. Photographed by the ridiculously talented Jose Villa, I was swept away. 🙂
